LA Mission College Culinary Arts Institute
LEED PLATINUM & DIVISION OF STATE ARCHITECT (DSA)
New construction of the 73,000-SF three-story Culinary Arts Institute and Campus Bookstore provides the college with lecture classrooms and laboratories to serve the culinary arts department. Spaces include state-of-the-art prepping and cooking demonstration lecture classrooms, specialty food service laboratories including a butcher lab, pantry lab, baking lab, pastry lab and a multi-station kitchen and a dining presentation classroom. The building also houses the campus dining facilities. The college bookstore, which is also part of the structure, consists of approx. 3,000 SF of merchandising on the ground floor and 6,000 SF on the second level. This DSA project achieved the LEED Platinum rating.
