This project consisted of construction of a new 32,000 square-foot Harbor Animal Services Center that replaced the existing animal shelter in San Pedro. This new, larger facility consists of a public lobby, dog kennels, cat cages, medical facilities, spay/neuter clinic, conference / training rooms and administrative areas. This facility is better equipped to provide shelter and humane care for sick, injured, stray, and unwanted animals to serve the community and its surrounding communities. The project achieved a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.
