LA Pierce College Center for the Sciences

The structure encompasses 100,000 SF and houses the departments of Biology/Life Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, and Nursing. The building has a state-of-the-art planetarium capable of projecting computer-generated digital images on its ceiling. There is also a one-story Veterinary Technology Facility serving as a small veterinary hospital. State-of-the-art technology is found throughout the complex, which consists of six separate sections containing 22 labs and six lecture rooms along with the planetarium. With a faculty of 40 and part-time technicians, the facility is used by 3,000 to 4,000 students. This DSA project achieved LEED Gold rating.
